Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Immersion School Board Nominations and Election Information

There are two positions available for the 2015-2018 school board. The positions are one community representative and one parent representative.

As defined by the organization by-laws, the process of nomination for these two seats is:

  • Community representatives are nominated and voted on by Board, staff, and parents during general elections (Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Immersion School by-laws 4.2a).
  • Parent representatives are nominated and voted on by current parents during general elections (Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Immersion School by-laws 4.2c).

Members of the board serve three-year terms.

Nominations are open from October 29, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. through November 18, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Please submit name and position to Waadookodaading (offices located in the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School Elementary wing) within this time frame.

Voting will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Waadookodaading administrative offices. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (715) 634-8924 x 1283.
